boiled or stewed meat, fr. L. olla a pot, dish. Cf. {Olla},
{Olla-podrida}.]
1. A dish of stewed meat of different kinds. [Obs.]
Besides a good olio, the dishes were trifling.

3. (Mus.) A collection of miscellaneous pieces.
