    To fund again or anew; to replace (a fund or loan) by a new
    fund; as, to refund a railroad loan.

    + fundere to pour: cf. F. refondre, refonder. See {Fuse} to
    melt, and cf. {Refound} to cast again, 1st {Refuse}.]
