\Dis`com*mend"\, v. t.
1. To mention with disapprobation; to blame; to disapprove.
   [R.] --Spenser.
         By commending something in him that is good, and
         discommending the same fault in others. --Jer.
                                               Taylor.
2. To expose to censure or ill favor; to put out of the good
   graces of any one.
         A compliance will discommend me to Mr. Coventry.
