A native or natives of Ceylon descended from its primitive
inhabitants; also (sing.), the language of the Cingalese. --
a. Of or pertaining to the Cingalese. [Written also
{Singhalese}.]
Note: Ceylonese is applied to the inhabitants of the island
      in general.
