This coffee table book honors the memory of the many New York City fire fighters who lost their lives in the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. Prepared by the advertising firm of Ogilvy & Mather, it includes photographs by leading photographers and introductions by Mayor Giuliani, Fire Commissioner Thomas Von Essen, and author Frank McCourt. The pictures and text document the camaraderie among fire fighters, rescue workers, police, and other uniformed services, and the photographs of the many impromptu shrines and memorials reflect a grateful city. Includes photographs of every firehouse that lost one of its members in the tragedy. Proceeds will go to the families of fallen rescue workers.
