1. Straw put into a bed. --Bacon.
2. (Bot.) A genus of slender herbs, usually with square
   stems, whorled leaves, and small white flowers.
{Our Lady's bedstraw}, which has yellow flowers, is {Galium
   verum}.
{White bedstraw} is {G. mollugo}.
