Bandbox
It`s the mid-1920s, and Joe Harris is the editor of a Manhattan-based men`s magazine called Bandbox. Now a rival has sprung up, Cutaway, and its editor is an ex-Bandboxer named Jimmy Gordon. The two publications and their reporters and writers, along with various wives, husbands, girlfriends, hangers on, and even Calvin Coolidge, take part in a series of events--comic, tragic, and in between--that comprise a vibrant portrait of pre-Depression New York City.
