| Definition: | | \Al*bi"no\ (?; 277), n.; pl. {Albinos}. [Sp. or Pg.
albino, orig. whitish, fr. albo white, L. albus.]
A person, whether negro, Indian, or white, in whom by some
defect of organization the substance which gives color to the
skin, hair, and eyes is deficient or in a morbid state. An
albino has a skin of a milky hue, with hair of the same
color, and eyes with deep red pupil and pink or blue iris.
The term is also used of the lower animals, as white mice,
elephants, etc.; and of plants in a whitish condition from
the absence of chlorophyll. --Amer. Cyc.
Note: The term was originally applied by the Portuguese to
negroes met with on the coast of Africa, who were
mottled with white spots.

Dream Dictionary |
|
| Definition: | | An Albino is a positive image, it is a symbol of tolerance, purity and eternity. Maybe it is sign that you are at a stage of your life where you need to incorporate these notions as part of your system of values. Chasing an Albino away from you, or resenting it might indicate that you are overly protective over a person close to you, but in fact, there are no reasonable reasons for you to be afraid for the well-being and happiness of that person. |

| Definition: | | - An animal which has no pigment (melanin) whatsoever in its body. This means that its skin is white, pale pink, or even translucent, its fur (or hair) is white, and its eyes are pink (no pigment in the iris means that the only color comes from the blood vessels in the eye).
- A plant which lacks part or all of its natural pigmentation or chlorophyll.
