n. {Salifying}.] [F. salifier; from L. sal salt + -ficare
(only in comp.) to make. See {-fy}.] (Chem.)
(a) To combine or impregnate with a salt.
(b) To form a salt with; to convert into a salt; as, to
    salify a base or an acid.
