An aromatic umbelliferous herb ({Carum Petroselinum}), having
finely divided leaves which are used in cookery and as a
garnish.
      As she went to the garden for parsley, to stuff a
      rabbit.                                  --Shak.

{Parsley fern} (Bot.), a small fern with leaves resembling
