\Ek"ing\, n. [From {Eke}, v. t.] (Shipbuilding)
(a) A lengthening or filling piece to make good a deficiency
    in length.
(b) The carved work under the quarter piece at the aft part
    of the quarter gallery. [Written also {eiking}.]
