- The temperature scale defined by the values 0 °C for the freezing point of water and 100 °C for the boiling point of water; a °C is the same size as a Kelvin.
- This is a scale for measuring temperature, usually abbreviated as C. The freezing point of water is 0° C, and boiling point of water is 100° C. The normal oral temperature is 36.3° to 37.1° C. The rectal temperature is about 0.5° C higher than the oral temperature. To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit which is another commonly used scale of temperature, one can use this formula: multiply degrees in C by 9/5 and add 32.
