A genus of ferns with twining or climbing fronds, bearing
stalked and variously-lobed divisions in pairs.
Note: Lygodium palmatum, much prized for indoor ornament,
inhabits shaded and moist grassy places, from
Massachusetts to Virginia and Kentucky, and sparingly
southwards.
