Large Brass Singing Bowl with Stand (Nepal)
Created by artisans of Nepal, the beautiful singing bowl is a religious and decorative tradition. Hold the 7-inch diameter bowl in the palm of your hand, gently rub the wooden handle around the outside rim, and hear its distinctive voice. Singing bowls, also known as meditation bowls, have a history of curative use, too. The sound vibration aids concentration and evokes the Kundalini chakra. Using a mud and sand dye, melted brass is poured into the form to make each bowl. Seven recovered scrap metals make up the brass, so that nothing new is taken from the environment during production. All bowls are finished by a laborious hand polishing process called sand casting. An black-enameled metal stand is included for display. For collecting or meditation, a singing bowl brings a calming Buddhist influence. Invest in one for your home at our special online price. While made of metal, these bowls can break if dropped. Due to their handmade nature, minor variations of size may occur. Measurements are approximate.
