Pastries
A cookbook author who also writes fiction creates a bakery/coffeeshop in Seattle called Pastries, run by a woman named Sunya Malhotra whose boyfriend has just left her--and so has her best pastrymaker. Not only that, but a major bakery chain is opening a store in the neighborhood. Just as things are getting unbearable, Sunya discovers a Japanese baking school that sees pastry-making as a balm for the afflicted spirit--which is just what she needs! That and a new beau, a filmmaker named Andrew....
