| | Definition: | | This is a childhood tumor of the neural crest tissue of the sympathetic ganglia or adrenal medulla that often first presents as a kidney mass, anemia and bone pain at ages 1 to 2 years old. Treatment is by surgical excision, radiation and chemotherapy. Prognosis is dependent on staging, ranging from 90 to 100% 5-year disease-free to poor survivals. |
