Mother Country
In a small Nevada town, Mala is being raised by her Serbian grandmother after her father is killed in World War II and her mother disappears. When Mala is 13, her grandmother dies, and she must manage on her own--but, fortunately, she has the help of a large extended family and a warmly friendly group of townsfolk. Then a new sheriff decides that the town needs some changing, and Mala`s life is affected in ways she is not ready to take on.
