Midsummer Night
The post-Communist adventures of a German writer who accepts a magazine assignment for an article about potatoes and travels to Berlin, where the Wall has just recently come down. There he loses his research in a taxi, gets a bad haircut from Walter Ulbricht`s barber, runs up a 1,000-mark bill talking to a telephone-sex operator, and becomes involved in a Bulgarian arms-smuggling swindle.
