Life Mask
The three main characters in LIFE MASK, which is set in the late 18th century, are an actress, a woman sculptor, and the Earl of Derby. Derby is in love with Eliza, the actress, and is merely friends with Anne, the sculptress. When the two women meet and become close friends, they are accused of lesbianism. The story`s intrigues and byways take place against the backdrop of the madness of King George and, across the water, the French Revolution.
