That method of reproduction in which the successive
generations are alike, the offspring, either animal or plant,
running through the same cycle of existence as the parent;
gamogenesis; -- opposed to heterogenesis.

 Definition: Reproduction by the same process in succeeding generations. Homogenesis is in contrast to alternation of generations, which occurs for example in all plants. Humans are an example of homogenetic reproduction.
