Gettysburg Address
An illustrated version of Lincoln`s celebrated speech, given on November 19, 1863 at the dedication of the Civil War Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This speech, in which the president grieved for the soldiers killed at the Battle of Gettysburg and for a nation torn apart by war, begins with the famous lines: Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
