 Definition: 
  1. \Cu"tin\ (k[=u]"t[i^]n), n. [L. cutis skin, outside.]
    (Bot.)
    The substance which, added to the material of a cell wall,
    makes it waterproof, as in cork.
    
  2. \Cu"tin\ (k[=u]"t[i^]n), n. [L. cutis skin, outside.]
    (PLant Physiol.)
    A waxy substance which, combined with cellulose, forms a
    substance nearly impervious to water and constituting the
