Chain of Evidence
A rare chemical has shown up in the blood of several apparent suicides in Hartford, Connecticut. With nothing to tie the deaths together--except that all victims were wife-beaters--the cases are officially closed. But Detective Joe Dart Dartelli fears that his former mentor, the brilliant forensic specialist Walter Zeller, is on some twisted vigilante crusade and that Zeller will kill again unless Dart can stop him.
