Camino Real
The road named Camino Real leads essentially nowhere, ending in a police state in an unnamed Latin American country. Everyone is lonely, alienated, despairing. With characters like Don Quixote, Casanova, Camille and Byron, this place is invaded by Kilroy, an all-American kid who resists being subjugated into despair like the rest of them.
