A genus of plants, of the order {Arace[ae]}.
Note: The common {Calla} of cultivation is {Richardia
Africana}, belonging to another genus of the same
order. Its large spathe is pure white, surrounding a
fleshy spike, which is covered with minute apetalous
flowers.
