    A foundation or sustaining wall of stones thrown together
    without order, as in deep water or on a soft bottom.
  2. \Rip"rap`\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Riprapped}; p. pr. & vb.
    n. {Riprapping}.]
    To form a riprap in or upon.
