Formed by water or aqueous solution; as, Neptunian rocks. {Neptunian races} (Ethnol.), the Malay and Polynesian races. {Neptunian theory} (Geol.), the theory of Werner, which referred the formation of all rocks and strata to the agency of water; -- opposed to the Plutonic theory.
