fastidium loathing, aversion, perh. fr. fastus arrogance (of
uncertain origin) + taedium loathing. Cf. {Tedious}, {Fash}.]
Difficult to please; delicate to a fault; suited with
difficulty; squeamish; as, a fastidious mind or ear; a
fastidious appetite.
