- Any large piece of woody material that intrudes into a stream channel, whose smallest diameter is greater than 10 cm, and whose length is greater than 1 m.
- A large piece of relatively stable woody material having a diameter greater than 30 cm (12 inches) and a length greater than 2 m (6 feet) that intrudes into the stream channel. Specific types of large woody debris include floating logs, boles, deadheads, root wads, etc.
- Calculated on the basis of linkage date, a statistically computed estimate of the likelihood of a QTL being present at the particular location on the genome.
