Nansen
This biography of the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen focuses on his various attempts to reach the North Pole by sea and by land. It also explores how he handled fame that came afterward. Nansen became a public figure and diplomat, and he won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922. The author has written two other biographies of explorers, SHACKLETON and SCOTT & AMUNDSEN.
