Cy Young
This sports biography of Denton True Cy Young chronicles his life and his 22-year career in baseball where he was, some argue, the greatest pitcher of all time. Young pitched the first perfect game in 1904-- and the award for best pitcher in the major leagues is named after him. The author is professor of history at Kenyon College, and he places Young within the context of his times and the history of the sport.
